The ANJOU team are:
Paul SINDELL
Paul is the founding member of Anjou.fr which he created in 2004. His experience
includes the import & export of french wines, the presidency of International
Relations in Saumur from 2006 to 2009, university lecturing in Paris, Angers and
Saumur, Oracle database management systems, and website design & implementation.
He was responsible for developing the very first french Wine-Web-App in 2007 (
see
Courrier de l'Ouest article on 4 December 2008). Paul argues that it was
certainly not the americans who invented the internet, nor was it the british
(Sir Tim Berners Lee), but in fact the French... because the French had Minitel,
which Paul calls the FWW (French-Wide-Web). The WWW (World-Wide-Web) has been
around since 1989/90 while, the FWW Minitel, albeit national and not
international, has been around since 1970. So a BIG well done and I take my hat
off to the technical director of the Joint Centre for Television and
Telecommunications Studies in Rennes, Bernard MARTI, along with the director of
the project Jean-Paul MAURY for their amazing invention!
